We welcome every student regardless of their study background, as long as you have the entrepreneurial spirit and drive. Your skills can be from diverse areas and don’t need to be restricted to business skills.

We like to keep our semesters active with more than 10 smaller and bigger events, workshops, sprints, hackathons, community gatherings and ecosystem trips organised throughout the semester.

We are a diverse community with members from all over the world. That’s why our main language of communication is English. But, we’re always happy to help you practice and improve your French skills.

We have a two step application process. The first step is your written application. The written application consists of open questions that help us get a sense of who you are, what are your skills and what is your i. After screening and evaluating all the applications, the selected applicants are invited to an interview in which we want to get to know you and better understand your motivation for entrepreneurship and why you want to join our community.

We don’t have a fixed hour rate you need to invest. We lay a big emphasis on an active and lively community and that the projects you do at START Paris help you gain new skills for your entrepreneurial journey. We like to say, you get as much out of your time at START Paris as much as you invest in it.

We have 5 departments in which you can be active and undertake projects to practice and gain new skills. Some projects even span across multiple departments or even organisations. You’ll be able to craft your ideas regardless of the department.

Our departments are: Human Ressources, Events department, Marketing and Branding department, Partnerships department and Finance and Operations department and IT department. You will have time during your onboarding to get to know the departments.

Of course, our members come from a variety of fields, not just from business backgrounds.

No. You should have an intrinsic motivation towards entrepreneurship topics, a hands on mentality and willingness to learn.

We prioritise an active and lively community by organising over 20 events and community meetups, as well as working in smaller groups on various projects.

You’ll dive into the entrepreneurship ecosystem and join a community of like-minded, motivated students who often become close friends. We regularly host events like workshops, panel talks, and hands-on challenges where you can develop new skills and gain fresh insights. As an active member, you’ll also join one of our departments, where you’ll lead meaningful projects and grow both personally and professionally.

Plus, through the global START Network, you’ll gain access to international connections and opportunities — giving you the chance to make a real impact beyond Paris.

You will join one of our departments and take on hands-on projects, such as organising events, recruiting new members, building automations, running marketing campaigns, or securing partnerships. This gives you the opportunity to develop practical hard skills while learning how to lead and execute like an entrepreneur.

As a member, you can also volunteer at START Summit in Switzerland, one of Europe’s largest student-led entrepreneurship conferences. It is a unique chance to meet global founders, investors, and innovators, grow your network, and experience the START Network on an international level.
